Jagat Mithya
जगत् मिथ्या
/d͡ʒʌ.gʌt mɪtʰ.jaː/
Jagat mithya: the world is illusory, ever-changing, unreal. This is the second half of Adi Shankaracharya's great formula, Brahma satyam, jagat mithya: Brahman alone is the truth, the world alone is appearance. What we call our life is a believing in the unreal while the real exists within us every moment as awareness. One sentence finishes the whole satsang. Watch the rollercoaster of your jagat go by like weather across a sky that does not move.
