Nirvana

Nirvana is extinction of the separate self, deliverance from the wheel of birth and death. In Adi Shankaracharya's Nirvana Shatakam it is sung as Chidananda rupam, Shivoham: no mother, no father, no birth, no five senses, only Satchitananda remaining.
