Sannyasa
संन्यास
/sʌn.njaː.sʌ/
Sannyasa is the formal renunciation of worldly life, the taking of orange robes and a new name in the lineage. But the outer form is not the heart of it: a true Swamiji will say, why do you need orange robes when you are already in that state? The renunciation that matters is inward, the dropping of every claim.
