Atman

Atman is your own soul, the luminous self within: ancient, eternal, never born and never dying. Ayam atma brahma: this self is Brahman; atma darshana is to see it not outside but within. The Jiva you appear to be is not different from Paramatman; when the two merge, there is only the one atman. You are Satchitananda. Even in every cricket, every frog, this same soul shines.
