Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879–1950), the silent sage of Arunachala, whose teaching of atma-vichara, the enquiry Ko'ham, restored Advaita to its purest form. He taught that the heart is the seat of the Self, the Hridayakamala on the right side of the chest.
