Surrender

Surrender is sharanagati: the laying down of the doership at the feet of the infinite. Ishvara-pranidhanad va: through surrender to the Lord, samadhi is attained. Ramana Maharshi said it cleanly: surrender is liberation. When the surrender is one hundred percent, the doing happens through you without a doer; even the body rises in the morning of its own accord. You offer everything at the feet of Arunachala, the formless Parabrahman.
